"This lovely little studio apartment is located in a great neighbour of restaurants within a 30 minute walk of Little Italy, the Gaslamp District and the Zoo. The host was excellent at check-in and kept in contact to ensure our comfort. There is a refrigerator, microwave and some dishes for the convenience and savings of dining in the room. Do bring earplugs as there is some street noise and the airplanes fly over on a regular basis."

When is the best time to go to Downtown San Diego?
The best time to visit Downtown San Diego is during late spring (May to June) or early autumn (September to October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these shoulder seasons, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 20-25°C, with less humidity than the peak summer months. This makes it ideal for exploring the Gaslamp Quarter's Victorian architecture, strolling along the Embarcadero, or enjoying outdoor dining without the intense summer heat or the larger holiday crowds.

Families might find early autumn particularly appealing. The ocean temperatures are still warm enough for beach activities if you venture slightly outside downtown to places like Coronado, and theme parks tend to have shorter queues after the summer rush. The weather remains consistently sunny, great for visiting attractions like the USS Midway Museum or Balboa Park.
